As chair of CESO's board of directors, Peter Chiddy provides strategic counsel and oversight for the organization's leaders.
A native of South Africa and a Chartered Accountant by training, Mr. Chiddy joined KPMG in 1974. He immigrated to Canada in 1979, and was made a KPMG partner in 1986.
Mr. Chiddy's career spans three continents and more than 30 years. Throughout his tenure with KPMG, he held a wide range of client advisory and leadership roles, specializing in technology and strategy. He has been managing partner for the Information, Communications and Entertainment industry segment, CEO of KPMG Consulting, and Canadian managing partner of KPMG Advisory Services.
His strategic mindset also led to Mr. Chiddy's appointment as global head of innovation for KPMG Advisory Services. In this role, he helped to revitalize the business strategy of the firm following changes brought about by turmoil in financial markets, bringing together key advisors in finance, business revitalization, governance and regulation. He has continued to be a sought-after advisor since his retirement in 2008.
